Moonlight Bat Float

The evening begins at 6 or 6:30 (depending on the time of year – earlier in the Spring and Fall) with check-in on the dock at the Texas Rowing Center. After receiving a brief, basic paddling lesson, and a few safety tips, you are ready to go kayaking and canoeing.
We push off at 7 p.m. and paddle down to the Congress Street Bridge where we watch the bats emerge for their night flight. We return to the docks by about 9:30 p.m. We suggest eating beforehand, or you can bring food items for your own consumption. Please be mindful of discarding all garbage appropriately before leaving. Cost is $15 per adult and $10 per child.
