NEW TIME: NOON-5PM

NEW PRICE STRUCTURE:

Canoe 1-3 people $60.00

Double Kayak 2 people $40.00

Single Kayak 1 person $20.00

TRIP #1: Friday, May 26th, the first of three Friday trips during the Kerrville Folk Festival. Join Texas River School's Joe Kendall and musical host Bill Oliver as they float the Guadalupe River, a great way to continue meeting Festival folks while cooling off in the spring fed waters of the Guadalupe on a hot Friday afternoon.

This is heart and soul authentic Kerrville Folk Festival music where you can hear some of the finest Festival musicians up close and personal. Bring an instrument and join in (dry bags provided) or be creative with river rocks or the side of your canoe to add percussion. Instead of music around the campfire, it’s music in the rapids.

Canoes, life-jackets, and paddles are provided. We meet outside the main entrance at 12noon then caravan to the put-in at Center Point. We generally return by 5:00pm, but you can leave earlier if necessary.

Availability is limited so we encourage you to purchase your tickets early online for a canoe, a single kayak, or a double kayak. Bring a bathing suit or shorts, a hat, river shoes, sunscreen, drinking water, a small cooler, snacks or lunch, and a change of clothes. If you have your own canoe and would like to join the group, you are welcome to do so at no charge; however, a contribution to Texas River School would be greatly appreciated.

Did you know that Texas River School has been taking kids out on Texas waterways for over 20 years? We use our rivers as classrooms to teach and reinforce traditional academic subjects; introduce important personal growth initiatives like leadership, self discipline, and civic responsibility; and foster a life long connection to and affection for Texas waterways. To learn more about what we do and how we do it, visit our website at www.texasriverschool.org

Here's something else we can do. We can customize a trip for your group at other times. Just contact us to make special arrangements.
